no. a bolt in c notch would give you more clearance but you wont really need it with a 5 inch drop in the back.

That isn’t necessarily correct. I currently have a 5” rear drop (leafs – blocks) with a bolt-in notch. Before the notch, my axle did hit the frame. Not all the time, but sometimes. The condition of the shock and leafs also play a role in axle clearance, can’t forget road condition. If anyone is considering a 4-6” drop in the back, they have to realize what might be involved in getting proper axle to frame clearance. Can’t just make a blanket statement and say a 5” rear drop will not need a notch.

5 inches is enough to have frame contact over certian bumps.

that why i said wont really need it. when my truck was dropped 5" it rarely hit. but it did hit. not enough for me to install a notch though.

2" spindles,2" coils,4"blocks,belltech with belltech shocks, rear bump stops removed front coils sagged extra inch and leafs sagged 2".And I can attest to the rear axle hitting the box floor on hard bumps or big pot holes. 245/45/17

Berry nice gumbys-10. I have a 95 S-10 with a four by two drop all belltech parts augmented with energysuspension parts. I like a slight rake style on my trucks. Your level stance looks good.

Your two tone collor sceem also works very good also. All in all it's a very nice truck. Good tastes builds good trucks.

I like it very much.

Thanks for the props, that pic is 3 years old. Wait a couple months and it;ll be slightly different,LS1,air suspension,C6 Z06 4 wheel brake upgrade, tubular control arms up front, triangulated 4 link in the rear, newer dash and door panel upgrade, and one off 18" Boyd Coddington rims that look like the torque thrust II's to clear my brakes, and american racing does not make the wheels in 18"

Here's my '97 S-10 4.3L 5spd dropped 2/3. I installed the GM ZQ8 wheels and BFG 235/55/16s at the same time (I completed this just over a month ago).
