N00b at dropping trucks.

I have a 94 s10 and I want to drop it a few inches and keep stock size or maybe nothing bigger than 16s or 17s.

I'm a noob at the sizes, what does 2/3 or 3/4 drop mean? thank you.

I think I want a 3/4 from what I've seen in pictures.

what would I need to order? I dont completely trust myself to do it since i've only done it once but friend did most of the work.

it was an EF, all i changed to were some lowered coilovers. trucks are probably a lot different.

heres what I'm working with, i may want to get some new wheels first. anyone know any good tire places around modesto, CA?

ignore the low inflated tires lol, i filled them up by now. truck was like that when i got it.

Re: N00b at dropping trucks.

if you want cheap you could get some 3in drop springs and 4in blocks fairly easy and cheap for a better ride quality i would say spindles springs leafsprings and blocks plus shocks as far as judging just measure from the ground to the fender lip then subtract 3 inches and u can get an idea of what it will be like
also my truck is lowered 3inches all around on stock tire and wheel just search for my thread

Re: N00b at dropping trucks.

3/4 would mean 3" drop up front and a 4" drop out back.

Id do Belltech 2" spindles with 1" coils up front and 3" leafs with 1" blocks out back for the best 3/4 drop.

Try summit racing for all of those parts.

Also be sure to get lowered shocks while you're at it.

Re: N00b at dropping trucks.

that pic was back in june, the only thing different now is that i have a clean white tailgate and windows tinted.

next thing on my list is a rollpan from grant kustoms and 17s cragar soft 8s from summitracing and new tires.

i also plan on doing 5/6 drop, ordering from stylintrucks or summit, whichever is cheaper. (belltech parts)

i only make so much money ;/

Re: N00b at dropping trucks.

after i finish all those things, the only thing i may get is a drop in bed liner or something and just leave the truck alone.

it's my daily driver, has 86k miles on it hehe
