in the front he had to do some cutting. but not a lot. and it does rub when turning. and in the rear it's all stock. fits nice and tight.

Re: lowered on 22s?

No, the ZQ8 package came with the lowered suspension. What size tire are you running? I have a 275/40/R20 tire thats taller than my buddys 22" tires, and I'm lowered 3" in the front.

Re: lowered on 22s?

if its just a sls then no, check your glovebox for the sticker that has a lot of codes on it, those are your rpo codes, and they will tell you a lot about your truck.

If it says "zq8" it means it has a zq8 suspension package, and then it will be lowered from factory, have larger front and a rear swaybar, tighter ratio steering box, 16" wheels and tires, and some came with a frame brace.

Now if it does have a zq8 package, the front and rear will be lowered 1.5" and if your wondering, its done by putting different springs up front and different leafs out back.

But check out some of your other codes, I found out I have a posi (gu8 if im not mistaken but dont take my word for that one). Hope this helped and lemme kno if u need anythin else

Re: lowered on 22s?

hey thanks.. i think it did say zq8 in there.. so 2'' blocks would make it 1.5/3.5?

and the tires are 275 or 255/30/22 i know there pretty low..

Re: lowered on 22s?

you should be fine. the only thing i had to do was remove my top bolts the help hold the inner fenders in place and pound them back closer to the fire wall. but i wound up taking them out so. i didnt do any cutting just a little pounding and slamming beers back as i worked.

this pic shows that i dont have much steering left but i can still turn into parking lots and spaces, and make three point turns.

Re: lowered on 22s?

gu8 is a 3:73 gear ratio i believe. g80 is the limited slip rear end(which is not posi, they are different and no s10s came with posi from the factory)
