Re: front bumpstops
I don't even have any bump stops, but I have 2" drop coils and the ones that were on there kept hitting the frame and riding rough. To answer your question most people get a pancake bumpstop or cut theirs down.
Take a pic of your coils |

Re: front bumpstops
ok so most likeley I am looking at sitting about a 1/2" higher in the front than I am now. So I am just going to go and buy the Belltech spindle and belltech 1" coil and spacer to level it out.

Re: front bumpstops
ok well as of right now I am sitting on 25 1/4" DF and 25 1/2" DP and 25 3/4" in the rear. And right now well the previous owner installed the 225/60/16, I know that the oem size is 235/55/16, so when this is all said and done I am hope that it still looks level

Re: front bumpstops
Isn't a stock S10 SUPPOSE to be 31" up front? If that's right then he's got cut coils.
After I cut it down it was hitting all the time. Last edited by ZQ8 Blazer : 08-14-2008 at 02:09 AM. |

Re: front bumpstops
And the bump stop does not have a crack in it. I put a small amount of grease on there because I wanted to. That's what you see. I haven't cut them down because there is no need to. It rides great like it is. I never even know when it bottoms out unless I do something stupid. Any more questions? ![]() |

Re: front bumpstops
ok so I am ordering my 2" spindles and 1" coil. I am just wondering will my rims and tires still work on my truck right now I have the 16x8 american racing iroc rims with the 0 0ffset and 225/60/16 tires, will anything rub at all because dont the spindles push your front tires out a bit.

Re: front bumpstops
My fender lip is about 27" from the ground and I'm running a 26.2" tall tire and mine only BARELY rubs when I turn and hit a bump.
Your tire is 26.6" tall. If you drop yours 3" from factory height then I believe it should raise you up 1"-2" depending on your truck, so if you're not rubbing now then you won't be when you lift it up some. Are you rubbing? Yes I believe drop spindles push the wheel out a tad. Last edited by ZQ8 Blazer : 08-18-2008 at 02:40 AM. |

Re: front bumpstops
ok so it seems like most members with the 2/3 ontop of the factory zq8 sit around 25" mark so I am just guessing that the factory height of the xtreme's are around the 27" mark in the front so with mine and the 2" spindles and 1" belltech coil I schould sit at 25.5" in the front correct.
