Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

Anyone have either front, rear or both? And if you do how much of a difference in handling did you see? I dropped my truck recently and i really liked the improvement in handling. Today i FINALLY ordered my nitro 2 drop shocks but i want my truck to handle really well. Im kind of sick of driving a truck and having to slow down so much around on ramps and all. Let me know if anyone has experience with either of these.

I beleive the Belltech and Helwig sways are the same diameters as the ZQ8 and Xtreme sways. IMO, you can't beat buying a sway bar for 70 bucks compared to a shiny red one that does the same thing for over 150.

Re: Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

Either all over the classifieds or ebay, S10warehouse sells them for pretty cheap but the shipping hurts. Well what do I expect, it's a 3ft long metal tube

Re: Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

I got both front and back Zq8 sway bars plus all the hardware and with poly bushings for $112 at a local salvage yard($12 for the bushings at autozone). but like thrice said the handling is like night and day. now i can take corners much much faster and it drastically decreased body roll.

Re: Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

ZQ8 bars are about 1/16 thicker up front. I forget the size of the rear though.

2wd drive Blazers have the same sway bar as ZQ8 up front.

I thought it was like this...

Regular S10 - 23mm up front, nothing in back
2wd Blazer - 28mm up front, 23mm in back
2wd 4dr Blazer - 33mm up front, 23mm in back

Someone please tell me the right sizes

Re: Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

I have all belltech sways. i used my rear sway before i dropped my truck and it help a ton on tight turns. after i dropped my truck i never tested my truck with them disconnected. Besides the function and cost of each the Zq8 would probably be your best choice. The rear sway for the Zq8's tuck tighter to the axle then all the other's. my belltech sits pretty low. but ive never dragged it either. So completely upto you.

Little side note: ive got an on ramp here in phx that is a nice tight right handed loop. stock i could scream tires at 40mph and that was all it had before it broke loose. after my drop and sways i can stick it at 52mph with no problems. I hate body roll!

Belltech Sways:
Front: 1-1/4"
Rear: 1"

Hellwig Sways:
Front: 1-1/4"
Rear: 7/8"

Zq8 Sways:
Front: 1-5/16"
Rear: 7/8"

Re: Front and Rear Beltech Sway Bars

Thanks for all the replies guys appreciate it. I was curious if they really did that much cause like was said when i get to about 40 mph around a curve i hear the tires letting loose and squealing. Once i get my new shocks ill be curious as to how fast i can corner w/o the tires letting loose.

awesome i bet you could do 60 65 on an onramp then and have the tires start to squeel.
