Drop sindles Yes or no

I picked up a 1999 rolling chassis and I am trying to figure out if it has drop spindle. How can I check?

Re: Drop sindles Yes or no

here are what belltechs drop spindles look like.

look and see if there is a part number 2100 that's the belltech number. also i believe the shaft is either lower or higher on the stock spindle compared to a drop spindle.

I don't have a stock one to compare it to. How about the distance from either the top or bottom of the spindle to the center of the spindle shaft?

The round part of the end of the shaft on the backside of the spindle will be really close to where the upper ball joint goes.

Also everyone I've seen has their emblem or name stamped on them somewhere.

Looking back at the name of the thread I can definitely tell you that you do not have drop sindles.

i have a set of stocks out in my shop....i'll run out and measure for you

EDIT: aight...so on a stock spindle...from the upper balljoint hole to the center of the shaft is right at 6"....if you have drop spindles...the distance should be smaller than that

Thank you for taking the time to measure the spindle.

Re: Drop sindles Yes or no

I measured them tonight and it was 3 inches from the top of the ball joint socket to the center of the spindle. It sounds like I have drop spindles?
