Draggin' Rollpan with static drop...OOOpppps

Well today I'm coming home from kart racing in the truck with my son, he of course warns me of a bump weekly as we come off a bridge, so I back it down to 20 kph (@15 mph) below the limit. I bottom out the front as usual but hear a funny sound, got to the shop and found the noise...

and I thought it was only the front I had to worry about.

yup the corners have quite the bends in em and are a little crusty, there's actually a hole on the left side now . the whole pan is starting to get rotten but it looked fine before this.

Yes, cherry I have an excuse now...I'll have to see my options but I'll most likely put on another GM pan in the spring.

Must have been a hell of a bump. Your back end is not that low.

It's a good size bump, as you come off a concrete bridge to the asphalt highway. I had a couple hundred pounds of gear in the back so it sits a good bit lower.

never said the front didn't hit. It bottomed hard, the tires rubbed the tops of the wheelwells and the arms bottomed out on the cut down bumpstops, and I'll bet the drag block hit the road, just never had any problems out back before.
