charcoal canister????

Do I have to remove or relocate this to bag my Xtreme? I really don't want to mess with it unless I have to?

If I have to relocate it, where do I put it??????

If you notch, you will have to relocate or remove(not recommended)...I'll take a picture tomorrow of where mine is relocated to on my truck

it depend on where you mount it. if you need to extend them, all you have to do is buy more rubber hose that is longer to lengthen it.

eh, wrong..you will need to relocate it even if you dont notch, that includes lowered trucks. dropped a friends xtreme 3", had to move it cuz the brake line was cutting into it somethin fierce. also, heres were i put it on a recent job altho pushing it back this far will require you to extend the lines:

I relocated mine right behind the cab. I made a bracket and welded it to the gas tank X member.

Hey dave, my truck was dropped 4 inches for a year and mine didn't get relocated until it was bagged. I would mount it off of the gas tank x member so you don't have to run those lines all the way to the back.

That was the cool thing about it. I just used the stock lines. They worked fine.

im just telling ya a way to do it, didnt say its the only way.

also Im not a big fan of placing fuel lines and a canister containing combustable vapors above a hot muffler. just not my style..

Steve your truck is a 95. in 98+ the bracket is completely different and the brake line WILL rub

Does the driveline rub it? I had mine over the drive line and it rubbed like a mofo. My muffler is a good foot away from it.

No rubbing...i'm still running stockers on 205/60R15's I have a good 2-3" before the drive line hits the inside of the notch on the gas tank x-member...Even with up to 17's I should be fine

Funny that is the same tire size I am running. I think I had mine mounted a little lower than yours. If you look at the bottom of the can you can see dent marks where the counter weight off the driveline hit it. Oh well. I can place my hand under the can with the truck running and there is no heat from the muffler. At first I was worried about that. I was going to make a heat shield but it doesn't need it.

Its good to offer up more than 1 idea to do things. My truck has 2 mufflers there, standing vertically stacked next to each other. If I were to move the canister there, somethin sh!tty could happen..

Re: charcoal canister????

I moved mine to where my spare tire is and just put the spare snug up to it. But you do have to extend the hoses.
