3/4 on a 98 S10 4cyl
well i want to get a 3/4 because the roads here are very bad and with a 3/4 i migh scrape on my drive way already. im only in high school so i dont have alot of money to put into a truck but if i do a 3/4 with coils and blocks i will only need drop shocks for the front right? and will it be alighnable? how much will the alighnment cost me ? im buying coils, blocks and shocks off the internet and it looks like it will cost me around $200 but if i go with 2" spindles and 4" clocks with a 1" coil in the front it will cost me $280 because i will not need shocks. what should i do ?? also what will a average alighnment run me in canada ? probably at canadian tire? thanks alot for any help and im probably going to put some 18s on my S10.

If you have the money go with the spindles. You'll thank yourself later. I did the same thing you are planning when I first bought my truck and a year later I had to buy the spindles for the smoother ride. Coils are just to bumpy. I don't know about Canada but a four wheel alignment here is about $175 give or take depending on where you go.

Re: 3/4 on a 98 S10 4cyl
i never scraped anything with my 3/4 except when i hit speedbumps going way too fast for a lowered truck anyways. i used coils and blocks and put new drop shocks on. my alignment was around 30 bucks US. i wish i wouldve got spindles in the first plae though because when i bagged it i needed them anyways
