Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

It's good to see that you are up and running again Jon. The truck looks good too, could see it halfway down Sackville Dr, as I'm sure you could see me coming too.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Seen you coming all the way down sackville drive, I slowed down so you would pass me, wanted to check out your rims, the truck looks real good in person.
I was just going to fix the truck up, I wired the leafs together enough to go get my fiance's wedding dress at Alyssas and get to my father's garage. The truck sits almost 2 inch higher in the rear now than before, the new leafs are a bit longer and thicker than the stock ones, the old ones were fked though, center leafs split in two and fell out, and the top leafs were cracked. Soon the truck will be clean again...

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Got her painted in the evenings of the last week at the garage. Done with JD Blitz black, one can per panel. All fender lips are cut and rolled and a new rollpan put on. Just waiting on a new tonneau cover handle.

and messed around with some cold air intakes to replace the rusted driving lights...

Time to practice some old school pinstriping...

Looks like I'll be heading down after supper, want to meet up somewhere for a few group pics? Might be able to get a few pics at the new dartmouth campus and we'll be heading the right way to get into A&W.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Is the bottom of pleasant st still all tore up, or is it paved. I'll be going, what time does everyone want to meet. I'm good anytime after 5pm. I'm also up for meeting at the dartmouth campus, but last time I went through there the whole road was missing.

I'm down for anytime after 5 as well. I live right up the 111, so I can be there pretty quick. NSCC sounds good to me. You can get some really good pics with the harbour in the background there.

Same here. I was just down to A&W at lunch and there are probably 30+ cars there already and Dodge has a tent set up with a Challenger.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Really good turn out at the cruise, I would say they had more than last year so it had to be over 1500 cars.

I was running a little late so I went straight to A&W...but I got a decent spot in the lot. I was done registering when the bananas showed up. I'll post up a couple favs later.

Still didn't meet up with Sisk but it was like old home week. When Scott caught up to me I was speaking with my old painter who has done 5 cars for me and the last paint job on the truck. It was cool that he really liked the new scheme.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Good show, I seen a few cars/trucks I never seen before. I only stuck around till 8 though, seen you Barry on the way in, truck looks mean, I always liked your truck, but it looked like someone keyed your new paint on the passenger side .
The place was packed, I parked on the side and registered anyways..

I met buddy with the other red truck last year, nice guy, keeps his truck real clean and has some nice hardwood work done in the back.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Welcome to NS Sanchez!

And sorry I didn't make it back down guys. I had to run home to pack for the weekend (we were heading up to miramichi for the drag races). I did plan on getting back down, but by the time I got organized and realized what time it was it was too late lol. We'll meet up again I'm sure Barry. Here are some of the pics I got with the banana's:

I think I'll have to paint my truck yellow! hahaha. Here are the rest of the pics if you're interested..

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Welcome Dirty, Dirty Sanchez

If your around Halifax alot of cars go down to Point Pleasent Park to sit Saturday Evening in the lower parking lot, no later then 8 though because the gates close.

There is, i've heard, a decent sized show going on at A&W again this Thursday (27th) for a Charity, I think the MS Foundation or Childrens Wish.

There has been quite a few shows going on but I keep hearing about them the day after...

That first picture is sweet, desktop for today!

The one I go to the most is in P.E.I. but there is one down the valley that lets you run what you brung. but can't remeber where exactly it is, only there once.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Greenfield strip is probably the closest. Greenfield is about an hour and a half or so out of Halifax. It's down Bridgewater/Lunenburg way. It's an alright track. The season is pretty much over now though, but next year I'm sure you could head down. We usually go down every couple of weeks.
There is also a drag strip in Sydney I guess, but that's pretty far away. There is also an awesome track up in Miramichi.

Greenfield is more on the south shore, not the Valley...atleast I think it is. I've never looked at a map of it lol. All I know is you head out the 103 and pass through Bridgewater and Lunenburg area to get there, so I assumed it was south shore.

http://www.nsdra.ca/index.php?option...28&Itemi d=49

There is some info about the track if you're interested.
Miramichi is pretty crazy. The weekend I went up was only sport compact weekend, but there were still a lot of people there. On a regular race day it's probably packed. They have a nice setup there too..lots of room.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

I'm job hunting now!!. All done with physio and shit now I have 12 weeks to find a job, only allowed to do medial jobs like counter guy somewhere lol. Besides that I got my xtreme kit in, just waiting for the brackets from the dealership their in NJ so it will take 10 days they said. Also got my new grille and headlights but waiting for bumper lights to get here to put it in. Gonna look sweet. I can get my hands on about 20 more xtreme kits if anyone wants one just to let you know.

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Not much new here man...still just working. Not as much traveling for work now, so it's nice being home more.
I finally got to ordering new parts for the truck. Had to get a new front wheel hub assembly. I ordered a CAI which should be here this week, and also all new blue LEDs for the interior lighting. I'm ordering a glasspack for it shortly.
You got any pics of that new xtreme kit you got on it? I haven't seen your truck since the show. Where did you get your headlights?

Re: Whats up Atlantic Canada?

Not much here.. backed into a tiny yaris the other day, couldn't see the little sh*t over the rear end. Cracked the rollpan and dented the tailgate on the ridge. Still looks alright a few feet back but I hate inperfections, oh well.

Been seeing alot of done up old ford rangers popping up for some reason, seems to me there is a lack of dimes on the road around here.

Can't wait to see the lower banana done, sounds like it's going to look real good. I wouldn't mind modifying a x-treme kit for sealed beam sonoma grill and for a long box, but I'd need alot of time, two sets of side skirts and money.
