Re: edmonton and area riders
yeah it's funny, I'm so used to driving lifted trucks that it seems pretty low to me! I'm hoping the coils settle a bit, it didn't drop a full 1.5" in the front. I can definately see why it's addicting!

Ya, I hear ya. I didn't know what the big deal was either at first and now I wish I could go lower. It is addicting. Bagging is almost on my list to do now.(Almost)

Re: edmonton and area riders
oh yeah, i was gonna ask u as well, what do u think a stepshaver would look like on my truck? i personally dont like em cause it will make my truck look like a ford ranger in the back and i effin hate rangers, and if i get rear ended then my box will efff up cause there would be no bumper, and canada is running quite low on stepside boxes allready but everyone says i should get one, what do u think?

Ya, unfortunately that's how it came so I have to live with it, unless, I can find a way to get my gate to open to one side and then french the plate in there and get a roll pan made of steel.

Re: edmonton and area riders
well im doin everything at home by myself and so far ive done the passenger side, i took out the upper and lower control arms and redid all the bushings which cost about $65, 2 new balljoints so another $50, inner and outter tie rods which ran around 45 for the pair and then i paid a machine shop $60 to press out all the old bushings and b-joints and install the new ones so its not too bad i guess, at first i went to midas and they wanted over $1500 to get the shit done, like shit i only paid effin $1700 for the whole damn truck thats crap man...but yeah this weekend im gonna start the drivers side, and gettin the upper arms off are a bi*** cause u have to lift the motor up if u have the 4.3L |

No-one showed up tonight? What happened? Pretty good turnout. 2 first gens and 2 second gens and a good variety of other cars. |
