Re: edmonton and area riders

by street legals do you mean drags? I've finally got some kind of time frame for my blower install/tune - I wouldn't mind giving the strip a shot sometime after I have it buttoned up or at least watching the LS2 make a run! I'm getting my 2/3 done next week as well so i can get some real tires under it, I think the skinny 205's would be painful at the strip.

Re: edmonton and area riders

Re: edmonton and area riders

Campbell automotive is rebuilding the headunit and doing the tuning. The motor is stock and I'll be running 9psi with a cartech FMU for fuelling. I'm hoping to get a catback and y-pipe done in the next few weeks before I get the s/c on. I was going to do an exhaust anyway and I don't want to have to tune it a second time. definately give a shout if you're hitting the track, I'd love to get a look at the swap!

When? Thursday? If we do we should meet up somewhere and all cruise in together. Did that once before and it was kinda cool.

i need an impact cuz the bolts are so tight that the i spin the motor over the only time it feels like it will break loose is on the compression stroke, impact would be easier

get underneath and use a prybar on the flywheel. there is a special tool used to turn the engine, but the bar works just fine. you might need an extra guy to hold the engine while you loosen the bolts

Re: edmonton and area riders

my flywheel bolts were nasty too but they eventually gave without an impact. i couldn't get an impact up in there but i don't have alot of u-joint sockets, you may be able to work it. I definately needed an impact for the alternator pulley, I tried wrenching it for quite a while before going and picking up an electric gun.
