Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Not sure if it is going to happen, Hil who used to organize it now does the Miller Tire one in Burnside on July 20th...this weekend

FYI, the Quinpool cruise and show is also this weekend, Friday night cruise starting at Tim's on Quinpool and then show on Sat. This one is organized by Mike from Nautilus Aquatics and Hobbies.

I'll have to find a sitter for Friday night now...

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Yeah I just found out when the Miller Tire is up at the Atlantic Nationals in Moncton this past weekend. I didn't know about the Quinpool one though, thanks for the heads up. It's hard to find out this stuff .

For anybody that might want to know there is the A&W Cruise to 2000 show on August 23 at the Pleasent Street, Dartmouth (Nova Scotia) A&W / Dartmouth Ferry Terminal. Big show expecting to exceed 2000 vehicles (to set a record).

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Hey SS, pm me your email and I'll send a list of 50 shows and events held each summer around this area. Hil sends me the list every spring.

We might even have to test the two trucks at Greenfield sometime. Mine killed Skippy's SS everytime, I think I have the tranny and gears matching the motor just about right now...and the posi doesn't hurt, nor do the traction bars.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Thanks for the help

I imagine your truck launches pretty dam good with your set-up, I am a fan of the 3.73.
I haven't had much time to get to one of the tracks yet, but without limited slip and automatic the poor passenger rear wheel doesn't stick to the asphalt very well till 3rd.
Maybe i'll see you around Quinpool Friday night.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Hey Ryan,

PM me your email, it does not look like I can do attachments on the forum email.

Yes that was probably me out in Sackville, I have been out there a few times lately picking up parts for my mountain bike and I have also been supervising some work out at the old landfill.

AAAHHHHhhhaaaa, I am being outnumbered by bananas and I can't use Hil as backup anymore. Has anyone seen a cherry red dime like mine with some really serious rear tires around town? I caught a glimpse of one on Portland the other day, just wondering what might be under the hood.

We really need to try to set up a cruise with the dimes around here sometime in August or else all try to hit the Racing Around show on Sept 7.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

or we should make a real effort to meet up for the A&W cruise on the 21st. I could try to drum up some of the old guard. Kevin still has the flat black truck and maybe we'll let Hil tag along in his dropped Colorado.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

Yeah I seen that red dime the other day with some crazy ass wide tires on the back, dont know if it's the same one your talking about or not. Looked like it was in pretty bad shape.

I'll have to get my brother to bring his red dime out so you don't fell out numbered by the "bananas" haha.

definitely would like to get together for a cruise or atleast a big meet in a parking lot or something.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

It would be nice to see some local dimes at the A&W show if people could make it.
If something's going down dime related somebody let me know.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

We should look at meeting somewhere beforehand and all cruise in together to the A&W. 6:30 is probably the earliest I could get out to meet.

Re: Clayton Park - Nova Scotia Show

So who's up for cruising the Dub Thursday evening??? Want to try to meet at Wendy's across from Forbes, say around 6:30? I have Hil coming with his dropped Colorado and another buddy with another Rado, Larry with his dime and Merv with his '66. Weather actually looks promising so far.
