Brockville Car & Truck Show

Anyone ever attend? I've gone for the past 4 or 5 years, and every year they push 600 vehicles. There were quite a few S-series trucks there last year, but being that I didn't have one then, I didn't pay much attention.

Anyways, might make for a great show to attend, and turn into a meet.

It seems as if all my posts go ignored, so I'll dig this thread up.

Anyone want to go? Me and Moosy (he has that yellow ZRX) plan on going.

About 10 mins from where the 401 meets the 416. It's about 2 hours from Ottawa, and 2 hours from Toronto.

If it's a nice day with NO rain, and I can get a trailer I might go.

2 1/2 hour drive for me, but I like going to shows, if I don't bring the truck, I'll probably just go to look.

If you do go, we should meet up and head down together. Let me know if you need a hand getting the truck ready.

Good to hear. Were you there last year? It was before I bought my S10, so I really didn't pay much attention.

I hope there is an under construction category cause my truck doesn't even have an engine!!!

Which is why I need a trailer.

I don't believe there is, but I'm sure it'll draw good attention motor or not.

Sick. I just have to hope a) I'm not scheduled to work, and b) Someone can take my shift if I am.

And yeah, weather had to be good.

Re: Brockville Car & Truck Show

Apparantly there is a weigh station on the 416 just south of Kemptville.

It was suggested we meet there instead of Nepean because it would be easier for people to find and get to. Is that okay with everyone?

my phone number is 613-720-0131 if anyone has any questions or wants to meet there, let me know. I'll try to make a list of who is coming and try not to leave before everyone shows up.

Yeah, and it's much less of a detour. By the time we get off the 417 and get to Algonquin, and wait, and get back on, we'd lose sooo much time. And for this show, 10 mins could make the difference between the best spot, and an ass spot.

Re: Brockville Car & Truck Show

Re: Brockville Car & Truck Show

It's easier for me to go to Brockville on Hyway 15, from Arnprior, to Carleton Place, to Smith's Falls, then to Brockville.

So, I would meet you guys there.

Would you all want to park near each other in the show?

I'd say be at the weigh station for 7, and we'll leave there shortly after. I'll always early for stuff, so me and my dad will leave Orleans to be there before 7. It's about an hour to Prescott (from my place), then around another 20-30 mins to Brockville. So, we'd prolly end up in Brockville around 8.

Yep. We'd all be placed in the "Compact Truck" class. We could also arrange to meet in Brockville. Right at the Brockville exit is a Tim Hortons/Burger King where we could meet up. I assume you'll need a hand getting the truck off the trailer, so at least if we all roll in together, we can park together and avoid trying to save spots for each other.

And for this show, the earlier you get there, the better. You may end up being boxed in parking wise, but you can pick the prime spots.

Well, the 14 day trend says rain on the 2nd and 3rd.

I'll monitor it. If it's consistantly calling for rain, I don't think I'll be going.

But, if the day starts to shape up, probably go.

I checked 2 days ago and it was calling for sunny with cloudy periods. We're still quite far from the date, things change hourly weather-wise.

Ok guys, it's shaping up that I won't be going. I can't find a driver.
I don't have my license until September 6.

So, looks like the weather is going to be ok down there, I'd love to go,, but it'll be up to the last minute if I do.

I'll post up here if I go,, if I don't take lots of pics and post em.
