Re: sprayin

if you dont purge your system then then there could be air in the lines and when you spray it shoots the air in your engine (not nitrous) and it could **** your engine up

Re: sprayin

Purge would be a good suggestion. Generally a bog is caused by the motor going lean and waiting for the fuel to catch up. Are you running enough fuel pressure to suffice for the amount of nitrous and can your fuel pump keep up these would be things I'd also check. Not sure what system your running so not sure what the flow should be. I need 7psi and have the reg set up at 8.5 so the fuel speed stays were it needs to be once the pressure drop from fuel free flow happens. Also does the motor bog without the nitrous and how much timing are you taking out?

Re: sprayin

well its a dry fogger system. And to be honest i just put the nozzle in front of the mass sensor. i didn do anything to the fuel regulator or anything in that area. its just something to play around with till i get done buildin the 406.

Re: sprayin

Then more then likely you will never fix the bog. The computer just is not compensating fast enough for the nitrous. The only other thing I could suggest is see if you can turn up the fuel pressure a little bit and shot the nitrous after you are already moving and not strait off the line.

Re: sprayin

Uhh I'd definitely suggest NOT running a dry setup on ANY 4.3. The fuel systems are so weak as it comes stock, you're definitely exceeding it's capabilities with the 125 dry shot.

Seriously, get a wet kit or take it off. That is, if you already haven't leaned the motor out and scattered it.

i agree that a 125 dry shot is WAY too much.
and that engine is gonna be a "short-timer" if it keeps
getting sprayed dry with that much.

but i think most stock to mildly modded 4.3"s could
safely compensate for a 40-50 dry shot through the MAF.

Re: sprayin

Yes a wet kit for your year comes off the test valve. As far as bumping up stock stuff for your year not exactly sure how to help the fuel injection with out a lot of work like changing to a TPI setup through a Edelbrock intake with welded on bungs for good fuel injectors.
