Re: s10ls's new turbo/mpfi/bowtie head project

i will be selling the turbo as soon is a start the rebuild.

i havent made much progress lately, work has been busy. i start building my house in july, once i get the garage up and the truck in it, i'll start the tear down regardless of the motor not blowing up

i'm sorry man i know i promised my 2114 to you and its taking forever. i never expected this stock motor to last this long (neither did anyone else i'm sure) with 20+ psi. each day i get more eager to make a change ragardless of what shape the motor is in lol

Thats awesome man. 20psi on the stock block is nuts. Just need tuning.

Odd, even the ones in the sig got renamed.

No rush. I'm sure once I start tearing into the truck, it will start raining so I can't drive the bike.

Give me a sketch like you did last time and I'll get 'em cut. 3/8" steel like last time?

i'll find you a sketch just like that T4 flange you cut for me. it will be a while before i need them. i've got the pass side header built and finished but havent started the driver side yet so it may be a few weeks

rob, another request lol

i need a spacer made to go between the upper and lower intakes on my stealth ram. the spacer will be cut to block off the two unused runners. 3/8ths material is fine but i suppose it could be 1/4. steel should work to although aluminum would be nice

think you can do it if i send you a template?

I could always try. 1/4" thick is the max. I can cut on my laser out of aluminum due to it's power level. I could cut two pieced and you could possibly stack them if you need thicker then 1/4".

Make a template like you did with your headers and I'll do my best.

the type of material and thickness doesnt really matter. as long as its not 2 inches thick lol. i dont need it as a spacer, just to block of the two unused ports

you can make it out of whatever you have laying around. if 3/8 steel is all you got than that will work just fine, or if you have alot of scrap 1/4 steel you can cut it out of then that will work just as well. i'll work on making a good template and i'll send it over to you.

do you happen to have a fax number?

I'll probably do it out of 1/4" aluminum, we have quite a bit of scrap.

I don't, but you can fax me at my work fax if needed 410-833-0623. Just make it out to my attention.

i'm pretty sure the dimensions should stay the same when i fax it. i'll include some measurements between bolt holes so you can check to make sure. i'll make the template as simple as possible, eliminating alot of curves around the edges etc. to minimize the time spent on your end, you can do the same for the outer edge of the t3 flanges, just make them straight cuts instead of curves (the exhaust hole still needs the curves lol). i can grind any excess of on my end. the spacer will be rectangular, about 10 inches long and maybe 5 inches wide

It may lose some scaling over faxing, but if you include a dimension, I can "scale" it back. Do you have a scanner that will scan into PDF? That may be a better route.

Curves are no problem (the beauty of AutoCAD) and besides, I need to put a radius on corners anyways the help the laser cut. Lasers do not like stopping to make a square corner. It's takes more time and is a more complicated cutting process (sorry for the brief "laser 101" course).

Re: s10ls's new turbo/mpfi/bowtie head project

going with twins, new headers almost done

driver side tacked up

pass side finished

i'll wait to weld on the elbows and t3 flanges until i get the turbos and can mock them up and level them across from one another, then the headers will get wrapped

rob, i have been busy lately and havent had time to fax the template. i'll do it tomorrow morning

Just to make sure I'm on the same page, instead of the rectangular hole you want a 2.25 dia hole in the flange?

in there any reason for welding all the way up the intake, couldnt you just run a bead across the bottom and up onto the sides?

Re: s10ls's new turbo/mpfi/bowtie head project

motor is most likely toast. theres a steady stream of white smoke coming out of the valve covers, smoke out of the tail pipe at idle, # 6 plug is oily, so much crank case pressure it pushed out a valve cover, and thats with a pcv setup

i'm gonna yank the motor and sell off the go fast parts. they include

fully modded mpfi 2114 w/ fuel rails and hold downs

billet 1000 cfm 4 barrel TB with progressive linkage, uses GM TPS sensor and IAC motor

the cam, which is a smaller crane cam with lots of duration that will work with stock heads, for a BS motor

stock vortec heads

syty exhaust manifolds and X over with a flange for an external wastegate welded on the x over

pt6152e turbo, awesome turbo for 450-500 hp. uses a garret gt35 comp wheel and a t350 or 52 exhaust wheel, syty specific .85 a/r t3 hot side

plastic carb hat that i have used from the beginning

i havent begun to pull the motor yet so be aware that it will be a few weeks before this stuff can be shipped

theres other stuff also, i know a few people called dibs on some of this stuff long ago. PM me with interest

Re: s10ls's new turbo/mpfi/bowtie head project

the parts will be pulled starting monday next week. i've had people tell me they are interested, but no ones has stepped up and claimed something definitely

those who have expressed interest get the first dibs. if nothing is claimed by the time the part is pulled by those people then all the parts are going to the classifieds on multiple boards/ebay.
