Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins
lol, your Corona bill wouldn't be too large, i don't drink much. 6-8 and i'm buzzed.
why, does it flood there ? $1.70, sheeesh. right now its about $2.35 here. gas prices go up & down, like the waves on the ocean, around here, every other day there different. its such a scam. |

Did someone say free beer ? Party at Tony's!!!...
$2.50+ here for 91. Almost justifies spending $5.50 a gal on 100 octane. |

Sup people! Well I pulled out my factory motor today. Can you believe it only has 6000 miles on
it. I know, I know, my wife says I'm crazy and sometimes I think I am a little loco too . There are a few things that I need to get before I put in the stage III engine and turbo. I'll keep you guys up to date as I go along. PEACE>Tony ![]() Last edited by sy-clone : 05-24-2004 at 06:27 PM. Reason: add pics |

you don't know ho much i would like to visit, but i can't
. but i WILL if i win the lottery ![]() you are loco man . hey, how old are you ? you look about my age.what does it say on your windshield ? those valve cover bolts. they are 1/4"/20. i used threaded rod and stainless bolts = for effect, on my new covers. but bolts with washers should work for you. just gotta put a little high temp silicone on them. |

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins
well, you got me by several years, 39 here.
i know there are regular bolts that size, i saw them at HOME DEPOT. use those with washers and a little silicone. just don't tighten them too much. or you could get some tubeing and cut it to size and slid that over the bolts. where theres a will, theres a way. |

BTW tony i'm trying to decide if I like your truck or garage more , I wish I had that kind of space to play with. Do you have places around there to get parts ceramic coated and things along that line out there? |

I can park 7 to 8 cars in there. I don't know of any place here that does ceramic coating but usually the speed shops can provide services thru outside sources. Thanks for the comments.PEACE>Tony ![]() |

Got a call from Bill Mach today. I was worried that I would not pass emisions inspection due to
the header not having the egr hookup.Bill layed my worries to rest when he explained that I can plug up the egr on the intake manifold and run without it cause he eliminates the egr when he reflashed the pcm. As long as I have a good working catalytic converter I should pass with no problems. That's one less thing to worry about. Thanks Bill. PEACE>Tony ![]() |

Sup dudes.Did some more to the "Turbonoma" today. Went and put in my new stall converter.
The new converter is a Precision Industries Vigilante 3200 rpm lockup unit. As you can see there's a big difference between the stock converter and the new one. Well I'm one more step closer to completing my project.PEACE>Tony ![]() |

I bought it from T.Byrne Motorsports. They had a gp going for the camaro guys and I got in on it. It cost me $600+s/h. You need to give them some specs before they can recommend which converter you need.PEACE>Tony ![]() |

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins
Well guys I hit a snag in the instalation of the turbo. Seems the mandrel pipe that comes off
the turbo, the flange has the bolt hole too close to the pipe for me to put the bolt thru and tighten it. Gonna have to send it back to Bill to correct it Tried using a stud but that won't work either. Here's a pic to ilustrate what I mean. As you can see on the bottom right hand, the hole is too close to the weld. Hope this doesn't take too long to correct.PEACE>TONY |
