Well I finally got the engine in place. I had to undo the steering shaft and remove the cross-over

Well guys it's been awhile since I did anything to the truck. I had to take care of some of my properties and I've had to do some traveling to the states recently. Thats a differnet approach to a adapter plate. I like it though it will sit like the stock tb. What kind of plenum volume number are we looking at there. I like to run the big 90 with boost and a higher rpm setup just for the added volume. Keep up the good work its commin along nicely.

I'll work up some plenum numbers. I was thinking it would need as much volume as I could get.
With that adaptor the TB sits a few inches aft, and right at 1/8" lower than stock. I can make these adaptors for sale if anyone is interested. I have a complete setup like Tony's pictured that is only waiting on rail to arrive and be machined... $750 Stick on another $100 for polished and another $100 for powdercoating.

We've also found that making an LS1 TB work shouldn't be very hard. The only real advantage is a better lip to attach to with tubing. The main shaft gets swapped with the stocker, as well as the IAC, both are clocked differently. The TPS needs getto'd up a bit. One taps the locating pin hole and uses it for a screw hole. That means the TPS is held by 2 screws 90° from each other, the seal may not be able to work as good as it should. Also you'll have to be able to "set " the TPS position, the locating pin will be out in the middle of nowhere. There is a tube coming off the back (upper on an F-body) that need rotated and capped. The adaptor plate or whatever your bolting it to will need matched to the slightly larger LS1 TB.

the ls-1 tb works great on my intake becuase of the vertical mounting on the wilson manifolds elbow.

With the manifold plenum measuring 3.125 deep using the square bore pattern and adding the adaptor interior I got around 55 cubic inches. Still not much...

Hey man, I'm really sorry I didn't see this. If you'd like I can e-mail a pic straight on with the manifold showing just where the linkage ends up. I tapped the extra tab, or spud(cruise) coming off the TB arm into to where it touched the main(throttle cable) part. This leaves almost 1/4" between the spud and the rail. I didn't have cruise or whatever this is used for on my truck. I can't see anything needing much more than an 1/8"... I did have to offset the TB to the driver side of the manifold to get this clearance though. The spacer is CNC'd to match the TB hole to the 4 barrel flange with a simple straight surface transition (ruled if your into CAD/CAM). I can send a pic of this also.

7.4" between the inside surfaces of the rails. At the smallest measurement that is.

I'd like $200 for the adapter and rails.
No standoffs unless you can supply info as to exactly what you want. I've been using .75" long, .4375" Dia, with a .25" thru hole. I don't want to make parts that don't do anyone any good.

$650 for the manifold (with bungs welded), rails, adapter, standoffs, bolts and gaskets to attach the TB to spacer and spacer to manifold, and fittings to adapt the stock fuel lines to -06AN.
No other fittings, injectors, regulator, etc. for this price.

The TB to spacer gasket is back ordered. It was to ship on the 1st it has been pushed back to the 16th.

I have a few things I have to wire up and it should be ready to fire up. I plan on running 8lbs.

Here's what the install of the intercooler tubing looks like. Had to buy a 3 1/2" hole saw to
butcher my inner fender wells to fit the pipes thru. One less thing on my "to do" list.

Hey Tony before you fire that monster up spend a little extra and get a blow off valve for it. We found out with that " choke valve " that the mach kit uses it leaks well over 2 psi and that really helps out . A very significant diffrence.

looks good tony, that plastic bonnet will pop off though so keep that in mind, i had to use tie wire to time mine down. till i made something for now that holds a little bit better.

Well I put the stock wheels on today to get a look at how much ground clearance the scoop
on the intercooler has. I measured it and it's only 4 3/4" off the ground. Guess that leaves out

The scoop came with the turbo kit. It's powder coated silver. There is another pic of it in an

Also what did you use on the edges of the holes in your inner fenders? My intercooler tubing sometimes hits the edge and rattles. REALLY annoying.

Looks like door molding...i used some of that on my cold air intake...it's got glue on the inside it works really well you can get it at any local parts store.

Looks like door molding...i used some of that on my cold air intake...it's got glue on the inside it works really well you can get it at any local parts store.
