my exhaust

the headers are just painted, and its coming off allready. but i don't want to coat them, then have them crack. so i'm going leave em be ugly for a while(no pic)

the mufflers are summit $17.95 each cheapo turbos. they are pretty nice for the money. they are not as quiet as i wanted. but not nearly as loud as the old single exhaust i was runnin.... and, well, i think you can figure out the rest. which, so far, works nearly prefect. and were a PITA to make. 100% TIG welded

Re: my exhaust

That looks really nice but I am curious with your comment about it being a bit louder than you wanted, why no full tailpipes over the axle? Loving the modified crossmember, looks like real quality work all around nice job!

Re: my exhaust

i wanted the mufflers to be almost dead quiet, for a few different reasons. but i also wanted, well, you know. now i have 90% of what i wanted.... tail pipes, yes, i could do them. but i choose not to.

Re: my exhaust

Right well I was thinking that tailpipes might get you that 10% you're looking for in regards to quietness.

Re: my exhaust

tail pipes would get me that last 10%. but i just like turndowns. i want to put an H pipe in it, and i would have. but i REALLY wanted to get the truck running, so i will and it one of these days.

no vids. i can make one. but on dialup, god only knows how long it would take to upload it. i may do it one of these days anyway. and yes, it does sing.

the fuel cell was one of the first mods i did. it was for ride quality, more weight in the rear. and for future(now) traction.

i have only driven it 2 miles so far. it won't stop freakin raining. but i think i'm going to have serious traction problems.
