logging basics

I'm new to forced induction and looking for advice on what I should have, as opposed to what I need to properly tune. So I have the Jet DST and am looking into wideband o2 but their seems to be endless add ons. So if anyone knows which parts are "must have" and which are "good to have" please post. Thanks

Re: logging basics

All you really need is a wideband 02 sensor to "add on" for logging. Everything else can be monitored through the sensors the truck already has.

Re: logging basics

It would be helpfull to get logging software that supports your wide band. For instance, PCMSCAN supports the LM-1 by Innovative. If I knew this I would have bought one instead of the FAST that I have to moniter on its own!

I bought PCMSCAN as I like the graphics and they have a support page. Brian even went as far as offering support for the FAST but their signal was not compatible. I would have used the Monodax product but they dont support my year, not sure how it has been working out. There is also EFILIVE which is based on AutoTap, or you can just get AutoTap and the enhanced GM parameters.

Re: logging basics

I was just on the Monodax website and it says "MXScan is a OBDII data logging application for 1996+ GM Vehicles". So I might try that.

Yes thats true, but you need your vehicle definition code or it will not work! That is why MXSCAN won't support my 97 Jimmy, it may support your truck! Check out PCMSCAN, Les.
