Re: Fageol charger

One step closer, it's looking good. Are you going to need a cowl hood for that when you are done?

Re: Fageol charger

Thinking so...I'd put one on anyway, like the look. I'm sure I'll need the room though. I put one on my 2005 Jimmy, the 2nd gen style cowl from goodmark and the frame was the same as a regular hood. If the one I put on my 1992 s10 is the same I'll have to do some fabrication to make the frame follow the hood.

Re: Fageol charger

He said he may have done today.....waiting by the phone...lol. Mark at Fageol told me the pulley he makes for the 2.8l (5 pounds @5000) gives you another 35% more hp than stock. He machined me a pulley for a lilttle more boost because I'm putting it on a 3.4l. With that in mind 35% of 170 would bring it up to around 235 hp with 5 pounds of boost....I'll be making 6 pounds. So we'll see...don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, you guys will be the first to know.

Re: Fageol charger

Well I didn't get what I was expecting, but he told me we should be able to get a little more out of it yet. Right now its making 206 hp and 204 ft lbs at the back wheels.....still respectable, and I'm sure it's gonna be a blast to drive.

Re: Fageol charger

Thats still pretty good to be putting down to the wheels. Did you have the your dyno runs done on the same dyno each time?

If they can still get more out of it why did they stop?

Re: Fageol charger

Yup, same dyno. Its called a mustang dynomometer I think. They stopped for 2 reasons...for me time was a factor the shop is 5 hours from home and I have to go back to work next week, and second its not road worthy yet...no taillights or insurance etc. So he wants to have it for another day when its all finished and painted so he can test it on the street. All in all I'm pretty happy with it.....can't wait to get it on the road and maybe check out the 1/4 mile track this summer.

Re: Fageol charger

Well put insurance on it yesterday and am having a riot bootin around in my truck again. Its running a lil rich up to 3000 rpm so I'm getting a new chip burnt to take a lil fuel out up to 3000. Have my own scan tool now so I'm learning a lot on how to moniter things and what to look for. Very happy with the performance so far and hoping it'll get a lil better yet

Re: Fageol charger

Well the trucks parked again till I can figure out why it sputters from 0 to 3 psi of boost. Seems to be getting worse. If you stomp on it and start making 4 - 5 psi of boost it won't sputter....totally lost here. Its going back to the shop to see if they can figure it out. Any ideas?

Re: Fageol charger

After my last une appt. my adj. fuel pressure reg let go and it ran lean. Learnings expensive...lol. Had the motor rebuilt, 20 over new pistons, rings, rebuilt the heads, crank grind. Burnt a valve and cracked a ringland. Now I'm getting the holley ecu

http://www.holley.com/950-23S.asp

gonna run this and a wide band. Mark at fageol is gonna set me up with an adapter for the 4 barrel tbi to bolt on my blower. The motors back in the truck now....just waiting on funds.
