u pull its??? hehe took me awile to get it, no i don't have any pull yourself junkyards, long islands pretty tite, i have local junkyards but trying to find a non ac is rare, i've only ever seen two, one was 2 years ago when i bought my 2.2l engine for 500 bucks and he told me take anything u want booo i wish i grabbed the box.

check suicidedoors.com for the blower box. i remember reading that they were producing a custom box for the bagged and big rim crowd. they might have what you need. also, i'm not that familiar with this engine, so it isn't obvious to me, but i thought i'd mention to make sure your water pump accessories will be rotating the correct direction with the new belt. it would suck to overheat during break-in and ruin the engine because the w/p was turning the wrong way! keep up the good work

To answer mintsick summit sells steering knuckles, its jus welded to a 3 or 4" steel pipe then welded to the stock s10 colaspable shaft

Update **** yea the motor is in. I have a 1/4" of clearance between the shaft and the exhaust, i wanted more but i won't kno till i rev that btch. I also wrapped that piping which adds 1/8" thickness if not more. After staring at the motor and convinced there was something wrong with boosted frame pads, i modded the motor mounts and moved em down and then it hit me tonite. drop the pass bolt in and pull a chain and jack up the left side and sure enough the bolt holes lined up, much easier considering i tweaked the mount. But its like when u stare at something too long and u need to come back with a clear head.

The other good news is the exhaust is in i intend on two 3" exhaust systems

I will have a electric cutout to a open 3" dump pass side exit and for the sleeper truck, cops, neighbors and emissions i have a 3" magnaflow cat into a huge 70 series flowmaster for a nice quiet daily exhaust tone. So at the flip of a switch i can have optimum performance but yet not wake my neighbors at 630am and 3am when i come home.


Next goal is to get her started N/a to blow out the exhaust pipes and to test the engine then turbo goes on. But for now some pics

She lives I fired her up today N/A to blow out the pipes and do a test run. The good news is she purrs and god can u hear the cam in it.

First set of problems to get her started
The fuel lines on the top had a loose seat in the valve so she blew fuel all over the firewall, After a new valve seat she was fine.
Then after tightnening the loose battery ground, she started right up and then 10 seconds later a shit load of smoke and oil, i thought i blew the a main seal or something turned out the be my PS pump, the lines were leaking bad,(looked serious to see oil on the ground dripping fromall over the oil pan,so i ran new hose and better untill she blew it off again, so either i need to put factory lines bak on instead of my modded or i crossed the feed and the return.

For fueling i hooked up a Aeromotive FPR but i have a few questions



What is the stock psi in the fuel lines?
Does the 4.3 mpfi have a FPR built in?
If i run a FPR and crank it up to 60psi will the computer shorten the pulse width on the injectors for closed loop running,and let 60psi be let loose under open loop

The aeromotive isn't going to do you any good without real injectors, or some sort of tuning software. You could raise the base fuel pressure, but i think that unit only goes up to 70psi anyhow. Then you would need to re-cal the computer for the larger injectors.

The computer assumes the fuel pressure is constant at 60 psi. It has no way of knowing if it is different or not. The pressure will fluctuate on a gauge depending on vacuum conditions, but it is really constant with respect to vacuum, so that is the important part. The o2's will do a fair job of keeping closed loop in line.

The stock fuel pressure is 60psi.

the truck is on the road, shes in the exhaust shop right now, i wanted to hear that bitch spool and i finally got to yesterday at 3100rpm u jus hear the turbo start spooling, tough to hear over the exhaust but when i got off the gas you could hear it loud and clear

i take that bak exhuast shop called and said shes done

i really appreciate the diagram, unfortunately i went thru and put the sheet metal block off in already after waiting, but i wish i saw this, its only june so i have 4-5 months before i will need Heat again. I'm gonna look it up now, cause i need not only the box but the heater blower motor too, from what i've read they are much shallower than the AC motors


and chris whats that ratio on that fmu i will have the tuning software so i don't mind trying a few

i take that bak i jus cross ref the part #'s and they are the same blower motors

yes the pass side wasn't cut up too bad, but the driver side needs to be reinforced i had to cut through most of the vertical support and think i'll make a bracket out of scrap for the pass side

Recent update. So after installing the 16" efan i crossed two wires on the flexalite thermostat switch, shorted the circuit and fried some wires. :-(. The next day it went back to the exhaust shop to finish a weld and add a bung for the the wideband and wrapping the downpipe. It barely made it there, spittering stalling throwing 5+ codes i posted a thread about it, and i believe it to be a bad ecu. I found a guy on ebay had one, matched the #'s and he programmed it for $100 shipped. So now we are back on the road again. More new parts in, and what i've been anticipating My autotap is up and running along with me dropping $480 on JEt dynamic tuner.

Things left to do

Swap the FPR for my cartech adjust. FMU
Hook up wires for cutout permanently
Wastegate exhaust piece
Run guages Wideband and boostguage
Mount ecu
Get a bonnett that doesn't blow off

Tuning and dyno time :-)

Hey Mark, i was hoping u'd browse through and see ur motor. Shes running ok, running rich at 12:1AFR at idle and lean up top, until i turn off 2 o2 sensors its going to keep in open loop. I went through hell with the steering column and just wound up making a new piece and using your steering shaft. After researching for 2 nights I found that the blazer's mounts sit 1" higher than the s10 pickups. I wound up throwing a new set of valve cover gaskets and swapped a valve cover cause the leaky one was chipped. And my exhaust guy wanted to do his own downpipe. I'm anxious to see numbers for the setup especially with a well matched tune for the heads,cam, and CR. I think the t70 is larger than i need but 320whp on 7-8psi 450whp on 13psi i'm sure it will do jus fine. I'll send a pm after the dyno. Be good and enjoy that lt1

might want to reroute your wiring harness thats passing over the turbo befor theres a meltdown. im sure you knew that though.

Well i have autotap and jet dst working well, i reflashed the ecu once moving rev limiter up, top speed and shut off my egr. I went for a cruise non tuned and did a 3rd gear pull was about 12.9 AFR and kept steady till 5k and i blew the bonnet off again for the last time. bent up the bolt and now it blows off a 4psi. Was fun as hell, then data logged NA and shifted 1to 2nd and lost my clutch. IDK what happened but i have a dead pedal, and popped the clutch fluid top off to watch the last off the fluid drain down the hole and it was dripping off the bottom of the bellhousing, line didn't look damaged so i'm guessing its the slave cylinder, (3k miles on it). Either way tranny coming out.

Progress

Wiring/guages/switches hooked up for good

replace slave cylinder
need intake bonnet
tuning.

if 8psi is not a safe reliable tune the credit card comes out and 2114 will be in the mail


So much as jet being straight forward, umm i do feel over my head its not like ok i need some fuel here and some timing there. I miss the good ol days of jetting the carb and rotating the distributor. The program jus needs some getting used to. Once i got used to the cables i can reflash the ECu in less than 5 mins from datalogging

Very nice intercooler, i would of ran one of those but i wanted the right side to exit top side, mine was really easy to due the piping for.

Well i set a new record 1 hour 35 minutes tranny was down and out and look just as i suspected the slave cylinder is gone, well its all there jus sheared into two pieces. And yes i have a new clutch in there with ARP hardware, i'm not running a centerforce i want my tranny to last, rather break the stock clutch than a 900 dollar tranny. Heres the pic of the slave cylinder

hey jk i don't remeber maybe 16 and 18mm to 6an line. It cost me 45 bucks to make the one piece. But last night my ppower steering pump blew to hell and i'm tired of fking with it so i'll get manual steering. Let me kno if u want the line.

Ok setup is up and running i took her out last night and was definately smiling when the boost kicks in but i need more fuel still goes 12.7 then 12.9-13.0 under boost. and the MAF flips out at 4000rpm throws a code P0103 which is high frequency. but i don't kno how to go around this

yea but i'm still working with the stock MAP sensor and would like to retain the MAF for knock sensor.

Am i the only one with this problem? supercharged guys still run the stock MAF so should i just turn down the boost to like 4psi
