Where to buy parts

I have my motor completely torn down to the bare block i need to start rebuilding it is a 1995 "W" 4.3. I want to do a new rotating assembly (pistons, rods, bearings,) how ever summit does not carry a rebuild kit for a 1995. Anyone know where i could where i could find what i need at?

Doing it all with stock specs as i want it to be reliable as possible

Re: Where to buy parts

buy the parts separate instead of having to find a "rebuild kit" you so want to buy....

if you're going to rebuild it close to stock as possible,
pistons - summit/jegs, you'll find something. you know you wanna up your c/r, just do it. nike.
bearings- uhhhh anywhere? summit/jegs/gm/auto part stores? might as well get some nice clevite ones just for peace of mind...
rods- not sure where, but my machinist found a rod for me since i had a bad one...i would assume autopart stores/not sure about junkyards cuz they don't like taking apart motors unless you buy the whole thing...
crank- try finding autopart stores with machine shops locally, i found a 10/10 crank for my ride calling about 10-15 machine shops for one, and found it. although it was 224 bucks later.

are you having it bored out? 30 over or something?
pistons for a 350 will work, thats all our motor is minus 2...

Re: Where to buy parts

I wasnt gonna do any machine work but figured id drop it off to be bored 20 over just to have nice fresh cylinder walls. What about dome dished or flat top pistons? i know the difference and what each is used for but how can i tell the exact compression on mine.... 10:1? 9:1? and so on?

Re: Where to buy parts

i think 30 over is standard you might as well do that...im running 10:1 on my new motor...ill be using 92 octane the whole time, even though i do already...

you could do 9:1 or so if you ever plan on a supercharger or turbo? and im not sure to tell exact C/R...might have to ask the machinist or someone when you're ordering the pistons....or someone on here im sure knows....
