vortec 4.3 rebuild kit

Ok, so it's time to rebuild my 98 4.3 vortec. 165000 miles and i was romping it in the desert and on the way home it started clacking like hell. took it to a friend and he said it's a wrist pin. I am gonna trust him and just do a rebuild regardless. So, now i am looking for a rebuild kit and have tenetively settled on the master kit from rpmmachine.com.
So here are my questions;
The kit does not come with a camshaft or lifters should i buy these seperately?
Should i buy the head bolts or can i use my originals?

As you can probably tell this is my first engine rebuild, and with that said do you have any pointers that might help me out? im looking for moderate performance gains.
Any info is appreciated thanks.

ya why dont you look into making some upgrades to it instead of just rebuilding it with stock replacement kit parts?

I'd say a Comp Cams 260HR cam and port/polished stock heads.

yes, and maybe do the e-fan mod to free up little power ,and i heard it helps mpg also. You can also do the normal cold air intake, and TB mod. And if you want more power to you could get it bored .30 over, that should help with power if you'd want to.

You need the head bolts, they are TQ to Yield bolts (they stretch.)
