ruff idle
ive got an idea but maybe somebody could help me out on this one...took my truck to tha dealership for engine issues and it ended up being that i needed a new maf sensor and a new cat..so im like ok ill just throw performnace parts on it...k&n cold air,jet MAF sensor and a high flow cat with a magnaflow single in dual out muff.installed all these parts and it runs like shit on idle for about 30 sec and then clears up and runs like a raped ape..so i call jet and they tell me that the k&n is puttin oil on my sensor so i clean most the oil from the filter and intake and clean the sensor and with the correct cleaner and it does nothing> ? anybody have some input?thanks

What year is it?
The IAC may just need to be reset. |

Re: ruff idle
Try cleaning your MAF. The K&N may have put some oil on it. Click here for more info. |

Re: ruff idle
IMO JEt makes nothing but junk. If you bought a BIGGER one than that is more than likely your problem. The fact MAF can handle 500plus hp

Re: ruff idle
The stock MAF is entirely adequate.
You will be replacing cap & rotor every 15-20,000 Mi. with the MSD. Best bang for the buck mod is a custom PCM tune. Last edited by Yogi : 08-25-2008 at 12:28 PM. |
