I just bought a 98 Blazer LT 4x4 (W) 140k miles, they hadn't changed the oil since 2004.
spun 2 crank bearings. took the block into machine shop align bored crank mains and cam mains turned crank .020" and bored block .030" over, new pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings and cam bearings.
heads milled .020", new valves, 3 angle valve seats, new springs.
In other words starting over with a fresh block, This is better then new!

Ive got 125K on my 96. With the exception of having to replace a freeze plug a few miles back, it runs like new. I wish I could say the same thing about the 4L60E thats behind it.

pushin 102k here in a week or so...been runnin with a rod knock for 3 or 4 months now...thicker oil throwin in some additives here and there, and running atf for a 5 minute idle before every oil change for the past couple oil changes and doing my best not to get above 3500 rpm...got the tach light set at 4k and i don't see the light often

Engine ran great tho, wanted to buy the truck off him and rebuild tranny. Trade on new truck instead, 09 silverado........ wish I had the 02 back. 97 s-10 has 150,000 on it.

1992 C1500 vin Z: 255,000 700R4 Tranny rebuilt at 197,000 3 years ago, flywheel replaced, timing chain replaced, ign coil. 3.08 gears and 31 inch tires.

1992 s10 Blazer 4x4 vin W: 170,000, 700R4 tranny, 3.42 gears.
-Replaced entire heating/cooling system, Speed sensor, 4x4 actuator. All replaced at 163,000

1994 s10 pickup vin Z: 165,000, 4L60E tranny, 3.42 gears.
-Replaced alternator at 135,000. Replaced radiator and water pump at 157,000. Replaced AC and Idler pulleys 2 days ago.

92 226,000 just swapped to a 93 auto transmission, lost 3rd gear, but other than that runs strong just not a lot of power need to either rebuild or upgrade to a 454 or 6.5 turbo diesel.

I am new here, and pushing 290K. I noticed today that I have a leak somewhere, cause I have oil on the bottom of the trans. I knew before I had a front seal leak, but it was ever bad, but now this has me a little worried since it had used a little oil lately. BUT, I don't see any leaks in the driveway, that has me baffled.

Other than that, nothing major at all. Water pump, alternator at most.

233,000 on a 94 blazer 4.3 steady 20 mpg loaded down,have done just about all the stuff that goes bad , intake gaskets,dist,alternator,starter,larger radiator,water pump(2) spider assembly (2) fuel pump uh 3? went to a larger blower motor relay and fuel pump relay and heaver connectors.misc sensors rebuilt front end at 200,000 , all the pulleys changed,efans up front for summer,vacuum controlled heater valve to shut off heat when running a/c .
