Question How does tbi egr work?

I don't quite understand how the EGR valve works on my '95 tbi. How is the exhaust gases getting to the valve and then to be recirculated? The EGR on my car has a pipe going from header to EGR valve behind throttle body, so I understand that one and what's going on there but haven't a clue for the truck. Thanks for any help.

So it pulls the exhaust back through a port in the manifold...then goes to the valve...where it recylces into the incoming air/fuel? Is that the just of it?
