Electro Lock ? Chip?


this is a picture of a chip or somthing that was put into my truck and i don't know what it is or does. Is it for the door locks or is it something with performance (doupt it) it is spliced into the purple wire in the steering column. thanks

its for an alarm/security system. if that piece isnt stuck into the connector, then your truck shouldnt start, u could keep it or take it out, which ever one u prefer

no, it just keeps the car from running. if the "chip" is plugged in, then it allows the car to start. if it is not plugged in, then it wont start. it is just an extra precautionary device the previous owner installed
