Hey guys just installed my a/c bypass pulley and i'm getting fire and fuel just wont crank. You can spray some starting fluid and it fires right up like nothing is wrong. Am i missing a wire or somethin? Or is my spider fukked?

Re: 97 s10 wont crank
if it is starting off starting fluid, then you don't have sufficient fuel. Check fuel pressure.

Re: 97 s10 wont crank
FYI, when you say it won't crank, that means the starter won't turn the engine. From the sound of your post, it is cranking fine. You need to check the fuel system for proper pressure before anything else as the engine will run at lower pressures than it takes to start it.
Unfortunately I had this problem on Monday. Hadn't used the truck in 5 days. Went to start it and no fire. Sprayed starting fluid and perfect start that day and every start until last night when I get no crank at all. Now that I think about it, I'd better check the ground for the battery and engine. |
