94 need help wiring tach

1994 4.3 tbi
I got a tach and the green wire goes to the negative on the coil i need to know how to hook the green wire up to the coil. I have my lumintion (white) and ignition (red) hooked up to my remote on my cd player and my ground is hooked up to the chassi ground and an orange to the positive post.

Re: 94 need help wiring tach

Its easier to hook it up at the gauge cluster. There is a white wire already wired for tach going to the cluster. Thats how I installed my old aftermarket tach. Try searching electrical section or the 2.2 section. There are a lot of tach install threads.

Re: 94 need help wiring tach

Pink on coil is power, White is negative trigger (green from tach hooks up to white wire.)

I found a thread (http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f105/i...4-tutu-377020/)
and will try that in the morning and let you know how it works. I didn't have time to finnish today. I have my knee bolster removed and can see a white wire but i'm not sure that thats the one so im going to go ahead and remove the gauge cluster.
