4.3L Vortec Turbo
I know there is the Typhoon that is turboed but it is a TBI. What would it take to install a turbo on a '94 4.3L vortec. And since It is below '96 it is OBD-I which sucks because I can't get a Hypertech Power Programmer, is there a way to reflash these computers?

Re: 4.3L Vortec Turbo
ohh right my bad. Hmm. Sounds extremely expensive. Maybe I should just stay Normally Aspirated and throw in a stroker kit, headers and my home made air intake. Already got an exhaust.

Re: 4.3L Vortec Turbo
pick up a set of syty manifolds, upgrade your fuel pump, add a 1:1 boost referenced fuel pressure regulator, and thats about all you need for starters. you will need to figure out a way to adjust the timing, and fuel maps, for fine tuning if you really want to start making some power. you can start by putting your MAF between the turbo, and intake manifold, and picking up a MAF Translator to crudely adjust the fuel.

Re: 4.3L Vortec Turbo
you can Supercharge it
vortech or whatever it makes a supercharger for carb-ed 350's, I know this sounds messed but I read on-line that they took a 4.3 put an edelbrock intake manifold on with carb, tuned the hell outta it and it got something like 500 hp of couse they bore over the block, head work etc, I'll try to find the link
