4.3 harmonic balancer
So helping a friend with his 93 4.3. He wanted to check the timing the other day and couldn't, the mark was moving everywhere. We pulled the crank pully off and the outer ring of the balancer fell off. So we got a new balancer, and he had a set (crank/alt) of Jet pullies he never put on so we installed them as well as a new belt. After all this we checked the timing and it was a little off so we adjusted it. The balancer looks like its moving a bit, not wobbling forward and back but like up and down, if you was looking at it straight on. Is this right? I did not see it before it was broke so I wanted to verify that it was supposed to move a little.

Did you buy a new or a used balancer? Did you install it with a hammer?
