1993 S10 truck blowing instrument fuse

Hello everyone. My 1993 s10 truck is blowing the instrument gauge fuse as soon as you turn key to on position. My Son was driving to school and he called me and said that the gauges stopped working. When he got there he found the fuse gad blown. He replaced it and it blew again. Also the ignition buzzer stays on all the time when the key is turned on. Can someone point me in the right direction and tell me what can be causing this. All I have is a Haynes manual and it tells me nothing. I am hoping that some of the experts will read this and can help me out. Thanks in advance for your help.

Jack

Does anyone have a schematic or drawing on this 1993 S10 truck 4.3 engine?

Re: 1993 S10 truck blowing instrument fuse

Can someone tell me if the alternater still charges with the ignition/gauge fuse blown. My son needs to drive it home a 60 mile trip. Thanks for your help. Jack

Hello all. This is the 'son' he is always referring to. I traced the wiring to the altenator and found the short. Little black tape and perserverance. Thanks to all. That number 4 fuse can be overwelming if you allow it. Again thanks everyone for helping.
