02 extreme

I recently blew up my 5 speed in my 2000 s10 so a guy down the road has a 2002 extreme for sale chassis with 4.3L engine and 5 speed manual with 140,000 Kms for 400$ good deal? Rear end and suspension all there and how hard to swap a 2.2 with a 4.3 cake walk?

Re: 02 extreme

Pretty good deal on that Extreme.

To answer your question on the trannys, they are not the same. For manuals, the 2.2L uses the NV1500 whereas the 4.3L uses a NV3500. I don't believe they match up at all.

An I4 to V6 swap is a pain in the ass. It'll be cheaper and easier to just buy a new truck with a V6 base and use parts from your current one.
