wiring harness for new head unit questions
ok im going to pick up a harness so i can take the stereo out of the 2000 and put it in the 88 for the winter. does anyone have a wiring diagram as to which wire is what ? or will the harness probably be the same colors?

didn't gm harnesses convert in 89? i was readin somethin about that not too long ago

you can buy a harness with the thing that plugs into the back of the headunit,. then it has wires which you cut and solder to the stock wires

Here's what the wiring on the harness side *should* look like. Dunno about the newer head unit though, sorry.

i had an 88 cutlass and the wire harness was the newer one, but it may have been different for some cars/trucks but the wires are the same colors, so it should just wire right up. I changed the wire harness on my 84 S15 to one from a 90 Buick Skylark and the wires were the same colors.
