winALDL ???
I know this is a diagnostic program and found a parts list for making your own cable.Is this compatible with the 87 s blazer ecm and how much help would it be ?

Yes, the 2.8 ECM is a '7747 (or equivilant) which is a 160 baud communication protocol. I haven't tried winALDL in quite a while, and don't recall what you will need to make it work, you will likely need an additional file to translate the datastream. This file should be available on the winALDL site.
I always use Tuner Pro RT, or Scanner Pro for my scaning and logging. |

I dont know if it will work but 86 and 87 are the 2 years s-series and oddball computers.
