trannys for 2.8 blazer 4x4
I got a 88 blazer 4x4 with auto transmission. The tranny went out today after a few weeks of sliping around. I know its a 60 degrees tranny unlike the 4.3 so I was wondering what cars would have a transmissions that I could use. Thanks guys

do you want to stay with autotragic or convert to a real tranny? if you want to go manual then you can go with the T5

I don;t know that there is much else you can do for a 60* tranny. You may just want to have the one you already have rebuilt with better sevos and a shift kit...if one is available for that tranny.

Re: trannys for 2.8 blazer 4x4
Its got to come from a 2.8L 4x4 S-Series. To make matters worse on ya, since your Blazer is an 88, its got to have an electronic speedometer hookup. So that means, 88+
2.5L's, and 2.8's had the same bellhousing bolt pattern, same amount of clutches and friction plates, but shift points have got me guessing... Last edited by sic ones; 12-06-2004 at 12:37 AM. |

My 700R4 cost $1200 for a complete rebuild with a HD torque converter, kevlar bands, HD clutches, a B and M shift kit, and corvette solenoid.
