New Valve Cover Concerns
I have noticed something when i was looking for new valve covers for my rebuild. The originals that came factory with the motor have a bracket on the passenger side cover for the snaps on the gas pedal cable and kickdown cable. I have looked up genuine gm valve covers and the drivers side was 80 something and the passenger was 45 something, and thats too outrageous for me. Aftermarket valve covers do not come with this bracket punched into the valve cover. Would i have to fabricate one to bolt on close by? Or is their a alternative?

Re: New Valve Cover Concerns
85 back are the only ones with the brackets. After the fuel injection swap the cable brackets bolts to the tb. You could get some without the bracket and weld/bolt yours to the new ones in the factory spots.
If ya would made this post 3 days earlier I would have gave you some newer ones in great shape. On my way home from jonesboro right now. |
