Induction link request

Quite some time ago, someone posted about using an induction unit off a bone yard donor car that'll fit the 2.8l TBI. I tried searching the forum, but can't find that thread, anyone have a link, or know what vehicle the person posted was talking about?

thanks

Jax

Re: Induction link request

Oh, that I book marked long time ago. Thanks for the link anywho. Perhaps I didn't word my question right.

Someone claimed that cold air induction off another vehicle would fit the tbi's on the 2.8L. Or it may have been adding the induction the the 4.3L tbi unit that we all (would like to) swap out for the 2.8l tbi. I don't recall which now.

Like everyone else, I'm trying to pinch pennies, if I can get an induction from a bone yard, why pay for a k & n or spectrum systems?

Re: Induction link request

The junkyard TBI most people use is off a 90s model caddy if I remember right.

Re: Induction link request

I wanted to say caddy or possibly a ferrio <sp>, but I couldn't remember which. I'll investigate further.
