Re: bypassing the air pump

The air pump doesn't create vacuum, it injects air into the exhaust.

If you really want to bypass the air pump, you'll need to measure the length and then try a belt or three to get the one that fits best.

Re: bypassing the air pump

There are already threads discussing this very subject. I know for a fact one is on the front page of this section right now.

Re: bypassing the air pump

well first off i didnt realize it wasnt supposed to creat vacum i just assumed so since there is a vacum line run to it, i guess that explains why i couldnt get anything vacum controlled to work with it lol.
neo i didnt know it is a smog pump so i didnt know that thread on this page was about the same thing sorry

Re: bypassing the air pump

Cheap and quick bypass of AIR (+ "polish supercharger" ).
If your AIR valve is shot (pricey I believe to get a new one), maybe bypass it the cheap and easy way and leave the orig belt.

Re: bypassing the air pump

Sorry, I'm in Idaho thru this weekend, and then Las Vegas after that. If you don't already have the answer you need I can check when I get back.
