bad motor!!!!

well i ripped apart the old motor that was in my truck, this motor had really bad blow by and was going threw oil like none other and really bad vibration no matter what i did to it, well when i took out the pistons, the # 1 and 2 cylinder compression rings were broken, big scratch marks in the cylinder walls and looks like some one tried to hone out the cylinders before. also there was a ton of metal crap in the oil pump and screen. so would busted compression rings make it vibrate the way it was? cause the new motor i put in dont do it.
