will a 95 s10 2.2 fit in a 96 s10 2.2

my engine is in a bad need of a rebuild and i can buy a replacement engine for $150 but the engine is out of a 1995 s10 and mine is a 1996 both are 2.2's. can anyone tell me if there the same i have till wednesday to tell the guy weather i want it or not. thanks very much for your help

The blocks are different, as the 96 has a cam position sensor that the 95 does not. its DOABLE, but a bit more than just drop in and go.
