Truck is running like crap... Look at this pic!

So i get into my truck today to drive home from work, and it is running like complete hell. it has had a miss to it, and i thought it might be the coils (still might be, i havent replaced them yet). I just did plugs and wires last weekend, and used ac delco plugs. now i barely limped my truck home, and popped the hood to see what the deal is. look at the pic here... WTF happened?? when i pulled the old plug, it didn't look bad, but the plug wire had some of the same residue on it. any ideas what might be goin on here???

hard to tell from the pic..was it wet? was it just on the wire and plug or around the hole too?

edit- now that i reread..it looks like you said there was just that junk on the plug wire...it looks like something possibly leaked down onto it..check around for an antifreeze leak or anything that could have leaked to it..was the plug tight?

look where it was sitting next to cuz that is arcing,a leak in wire end.

^^^ i set it on the brake reservoir to snap a better pic. yes the plug was really tight in there... it even snapped the old plug coming out! would a coolant leak cause my problems?? i would imagine its a possibility if its leaking onto the spark plug. but no, the plug wire was not wet...

one of the head bolts possibly leaking letting coolant up the bolt hole then leaking onto the wire, its possible with it being pressurized

In the picture, it looks like the connector is not far enough into the boot. The metal tip looks to be stickin' slightly out of the boot where it seats to the plugs tip. It should be far enough into the boot that the boot can seal the tip from exposure. Fire will jump all over the place if the connector is exposed.

here's your answer. the plug was already broken. it was arching to the head.

so i pulled the plug out today... there is a bunch of build up in the plug chamber. im thinking the head gasket it letting coolant leak by

but im not sure if this is my problem. the truck revs up good from under the hood, but when im in it and put it into gear it just has no power. thinking it might be the cat, i let it warm up and looked for it to glow, but it didnt. i banged on it with a wrench and it didnt rattle. what else could be causing this lack of power?? im so bummed

you should check to see if it has a blown head gasket..try a compression test

gonna try that today. were also gonna remove the cat to see if that helps. a friend of mine that knows the 2.2s well says he swears thats my problem.
