timing chain went bad?

i have a 98 s10 and my timing chain went bad. i was wondering if it would hurt my valves? any replies would be awesome thanks

The only way to know is to pull the head and see. we cant really say without seeing it.

You could go ahead and replace the timing set and do a leakdown test on each cylinder. You'll know right away if a valve is bent.
