Unhappy sputtering/missing

I have a 95 2.2 regular cab 2wd and it has been sputtering and missing for a while now.
We've changed the spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, egr valve and took it to autozone today to have a code ran on it but they couldn't.
at first it would sputter off and on. then it started getting worse. just no power when i'd go to take off. now it just seems like it's missing constantly.
i'm by no means a mechanic so any advice would help.
thanks

Re: sputtering/missing

pull your plug wire boots back and check if see if the wire is burnt on any of them

Re: sputtering/missing

i checked the spark plug wires and they are fine. changed the plugs again and the pcv valve. it runs a little better, but still not what it should be.
any more suggestions?
