Pilot Bearing HELP!!!

alright does anyone know how the pilot bearing is installed in a 95 s10 2.2 I pulled the transmission to find the throwout bearing in pieces and found out why whoever replaced the clutch last time didn't put a pilot bearing in the crankshaft there is a tapered edge on one side and a flat edge on the other which side goes towards the front of the engine?

Re: Pilot Bearing HELP!!!

the tapered edge should go towards the engine if ur talkin the outside edge of the bearing. its there so it's a lil easier to install into the crank
