ChromeIntakes w/ his own filter

$30 + $20 shipping

shipped out pretty quick, pretty easy to install, the couplers are ugly blue though and you have to come up w/ a way to mount it. it comes w/ 2 universal brackets. i bent and cut one of them to mount to the A/C compressor.

top end power in improved slightly, along w/ a little tq down low, and this sucker is loud.

only complaint, other than teh ricer couplers, is the IAT sensor fits loosely in the hole for it.

Re: eBay Intake, Pics/Opinions

I have the same intake as S-10 driver, but I like the blue since it matches my truck I've noticed the same results with a 1/2-1 mpg better difference. Top end improved, lower end torque dropped. I love the sucking noise, and it made my exhaust sound a little better. I don't like the sensor grommet, it took em forever to get the sensor in it because the grommet kept popping out. I used both of the universal mounts and twisted the longer one and mounted it to a bolt on my fan shroud.

Re: eBay Intake, Pics/Opinions

I have this one off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04...spagenameZWDVW

I like it! for around $60 shipped it looks good and sounds good. It has a massive filter (like 14" long)

There really isnt any "noticeable" power increase until about 3500 rpm / 45-50 mph then there is a gain in power slightly. No mpg change.

I have an 01 ex cab 2.2 auto.

S-Dime 8.jpg

Price - $53.23 - shipped
(It came with a stupid E-bay filter so I took advantange of my Advance Auto discount and bought a K&N)
Seller - n-take1
Gains - prolly not, but with the glasspack its louder
MPG - 4th day with it so I'll tell ya when i get back home from Morgantown, WV
Truck - 1997 S-10 2.2 Reg Cab Short Bed 5-Spd.
Ect. - It's 2.75" pipe. I dunno why but the K&N took up the 1/8th inch round difference.
^ dunno if that makes a difference
