cavalier motor question
will the cavalier 2.2 work in a s10 with a 2.2 ??? ive heard it will and ive heard you have to drill and tap hole is that true thanks guy you guys are awesome and always give me answers

You shouldnt have to drill/tap anything. provided the engine is the same year as the one your truck has, its just swap a crank sensor and plug and play. ya know?

well not exactly, but it needs to be the same casting. from 1994-03 there were some differences in the blocks. The 94-95 engines only plug and play in 94-95 trucks for example. 96-97 was another different engine design, and 98+ they changed yet again.
so you understand the way it works now? |

There are some head differences as well. I had to drill and tap a spot for a block off plate on the RH back part of the head that the cavi motor never had. As well as some differences in the egr adapter. That was a 98.
