All spark plugs are the same, there is no difference between the platinum and a regular plug! It's all advertising bullshit just to get you to buy that brand. I agree w/beandip, stick with AC Delco Plugs!!

No proof, other than getting my info from a guy that sold spark plugs, and all other auto parts for 30 + years.

even students in 1-2 auto class in high school would learn about spark plugs, your sale guy is just a sale guy, they just know the word and not actually how it works

i agree yeah just cause they have 30 years parts experience doesn't mean they know anything about cars. i work at auto zone and we have people like that. they can look up parts on the computer but when you ask them a question they haven't got a clue

In my experience....everyone who works at Auto Zone doesn't know anything about cars, either.

Re: bosch platinum plugs?

hey everyone in this thread who said this plug suck, DID YOU ACTUALLY TRIED THESE PLUGS?

i ran through 2 set of bosch plugs, first set was bosch 2+ plugs and worked so well, even can take off in 2nd gear without giving gas. but the reason im on second set since the headgasket went so the plugs got fouled from that then we just bought regular platinum bosch plugs and still running strong and no compliant today at 120k (put in the bosch 2+ at 90k)

I use e3 plugs. Which are a performance division of the Delco plugs. Love em. I had Bosch and delco and now the e3... e3's were the best.

Spark plugs are not all the same, by any stretch of the imagination.

No Wal-Mart isn't going to miss that $17, you know why? It's very simple, they make up the losses caused by douchebags like you by raising the prices everyone else pays.

In that light, your stealing effects everyone else on this board, personally.

How did stealing get to be cool? It's pathetic.

Nothing says you're a man like going out and stealing a set of crappy spark plugs for your truck, yay, t
