99 S10 2.2L: any problem with re-using exhaust gasket?

Putting the everything back togethter today and forgot the exhaust manifold gasket--old one looks good to me. Anyone ever had to re-use the old one?

cyl head to exh manifold, yes, its re-useable, I use metal buffer to scrap out any rust and carbon/burnt

exh manifold to downpipe, yes, just insert unless its all cracked and doesn't appear sealable

downpipe to cat, yes and no, they tear easy after time, however if it doesn't have tear, should able be ok

either way, you'll need em on to eliminate exhaust leak

it won't be just sound but it disctrubute hot exhaust which can be bit bad depending where its leaking at, for increase heat with air and surrounding will be bit more hotter

Really like what said it depends. I re-used mine 3 times. I had the tranny off once, and head on and off twice and the same exhaust gaskets have been on there all 3 times. However just before i did my tranny change, i replaced all my exhaust gaskets cause one started leaking then another and another. so i said f it and got them all. Then the tranny went out. lol But like what said if there not torn and when you start the truck back up they dont leak then keep the old ones.

No one had one till tomorrow and we were trying to get done today, but Auto Zone was able to get one by 1500 so it's now installed.

Hopefully we can try to start the thing tomorrow...

You should be fine I reused mine and still have no leaks out of it. They are pretty durable.
